Our Story.

NM Hair & Beauty was created by two best friends with a shared passion for helping people look and feel their best.

Michelle’s Story

Michelle began her career working in hospitality, where she worked her way up to a supervisor role. After having her two wonderful children, she decided it was time to finally follow her true passion and retrain as a beauty therapist.

Grabbing the bull by the horns (not a real bull — we’re pretty sure that’s against the law!), Michelle went on to gain her NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Beauty Therapy and hasn’t looked back since.

Michelle has many years of experience in the beauty industry and is known in the salon for being a true perfectionist. She takes huge pride in her work and always goes the extra mile to make sure every client leaves feeling confident, happy and well looked after.

Nicola’s Story

Nicola started her hairdressing journey while still at school, working as a Saturday girl. When she left school, she began her apprenticeship full-time while attending Stamford College, where she gained her NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Hairdressing.

Not long after, Nicola welcomed her baby girl and continued working in a local salon in Werrington before moving into the town centre for a faster-paced salon environment.

Fast forward a few years, then the arrival of her baby boy — all while continuing to work part-time and building her career.

Nicola has many years of experience in hairdressing and is also a qualified Assessor and Barber, bringing a huge amount of knowledge, skill and experience to the salon.

The Birth of NM Hair & Beauty

In 2022, these two slightly crazy ladies decided to combine their passion, experience and friendship to create something special…

And that’s how NM Hair & Beauty was born.
